Health Condition 1: null- Generalised Chronic Periodontitis

Interventions

Intervention1: Probiotic Gel containing Lactobacillus brevis bacteria: The probiotic gel will be applied at one point i.e baseline in Group 2 and at baseline, 1st, 2nd and 4th week in Group 3. Control

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Untreated moderate to severe chronic periodontitis patients. 2. Patients without periodontal surgery for the last 24 months. 3. Teeth with probing pocket depth of 5-8 mm.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Any systemic disease that affects periodontium. 2. Pregnant or post menopausal women. 3. Those receiving any anti-inflammatory drugs, antibiotics or vitamins within previous 3 months. 4. Heavy smokers or history of alcohol abuse.
