Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All patients with macular hole size greater than 500 microns will be included. Both idiopathic variety and macular holes secondary to other etiologies will be included

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: a. Previously failed macular hole surgery. b. Size of the hole less than 500 um. c. Patients needing both IOL + MH surgery d. Patients with a baseline OCT scan with signal strength less than 5. e. Patients with other ocular co morbidities that can affect final visual outcome f. Monocular patients
