Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Newly and previously diagnosed type II DM on oral hypoglycemics

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: persons above 75 yrs persons who are chronically ill seasonal relocation outside the area for more than 8 weeks per year

Blood sugar control - decrease in HbA1c level by 1%. Reduced cholesterol levels.Timepoint: at 1 year
