Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Patients of either sex aged between 18 & 50 years 2.Patients with ASA physical status 1 and 2 3.Patients scheduled for elective surgery under general anaesthesia requiring endotracheal intubation

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Anticipated difficult airway with Mallampati class 3 or 4 on preop assessment 2.Thyromental distance less than 6cm 3.Interincisor distance less than 3.5cm 4.Rapid sequence intubation required 5.Oropharyngeal pathology 6.Obesity with BMI more than 30 7.CNS disorders 8.Refusal to give informed consent
