Inclusion criteria: PATIENTS AGED 6 MONTHS TO 5 YEARS WITH BIOCHEMICAL AND RADIOLOGICAL DIAGNOSIS OF RICKETS PRESENTING TO OPD OR ADMITTED AT IPD IN DEPARTMENT OF PEDIARICS AT CHACHA NEHRU BAL CHIKITSALYA

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1)PATIENTS WITH SUSPECTED OR CONFIRMED DIAGNOSIS OF MALABSORPTION 2)PATIENTS WITH SEVERE SYSTEMIC ILLNESS COMPROMISING ORAL INTAKE(TACHYCARDIA,TACHYPNEA,SHOCK,WEAK PERIPHERAL PULSES) 3)PATIENTS WHO HAVE TAKEN CALCIUM OR VITAMIN D SUPPLEMENT IN LAST 6 MONTHS 4)PATIENTS WITH CLINICAL OR BIOCHEMICAL MARKERS SUGGESTIVE OF RICKETS OTHER THAN NUTRITIONAL RICKETS
