Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients with symptomatic secondary pulmonary hypertension with New York Heart Association (NYHA) functional class II-III with underlying aetiologies of pulmonary hypertension such as valvular heart disease, dilated cardiomyopathy, heart failure with preserved ejection fraction, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and interstitial lung disease were included in the study.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients with primary pulmonary hypertension, hypotension, allergy to sildenafil, ischemic heart disease, on other vasodilators (ex. Nitrate), prior treatment with other anti PAH drugs, prior cardiac valve surgery, severe valve stenosis were excluded from the study.
