To evaluate the collective risk of major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) in patients with multivessel coronary artery disease undergoing angioplasty by developing a scoring system that integrates syntax angiographic score with the clinical variables.

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All consecutive patients who underwent PCI for multivessel coronary artery disease in our hospital from April 2009 to April 2015 will be enrolled into the study as development set. Patients who undergo the same procedure from April 2015 to April 2017 will form the validation set.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients who developed PCI related complications will be ex¬cluded apart from those with inadequate data or inability to give consent

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To determine the incidence of MACE in patients with multivessel coronary artery disease treated with PCI.Timepoint: To determine the incidence of MACE in patients with multivessel coronary artery disease treated with PCI.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1.To identify the risk factor profile for these patients and to compare it with the results of studies conducted elsewhere. 2.To estimate the cumulative risk rendered by individual angiographic and clinical risk factors and to develop a simple risk score model to predict MACE at 30days in patients with multivessel coronary artery disease. 3.To validate this risk model in a sample patient population of similar profile prospectively.
