Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All patients with portal hypertension and who had bleeding from oesophagealvarices having grade 3 or 4 varices

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: •Cases with gastric varices alone •Cases with left sided portal hypertension
