Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Histopathological diagnosis of sarcoma including bone or soft tissue sarcomas. 2. Availability of archival tissue blocks in sufficient material to perform immunohistochemical staining and adrenergic receptor gene expression.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Inability to perform immunohistochemical staining and adrenergic receptor gene expression related to poor quality or insufficient quantity of archival tissue material.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Estimate tumoral expression of adrenergic receptors, beta2 adrenergic receptors (B2-ADR), phosphorylated beta2 adrenergic receptors (B2 ADRP), alpha1 adrenergic receptors (A1-ADR) and alpha2 adrenergic receptors (A2- ADR2) by immunohistochemical staining and beta-adrenergic receptor gene expression by conventional PCR among the different subtypes of sarcomasTimepoint: Slides provided at the time of tumour biopsies for diagnosis

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1) Correlation between the methods used for ADRs expression (immunohistochemical staining and receptor gene expression)Timepoint: Slides provided at the time of tumour biopsies for diagnosis
