Intervention1: ayurvedic herbal formulations: atibalamula kvatha(decoction) 40ml twice a day orally and bhumyamalaki churna(powder) 3gms twice a day with water orally for 28 days.

Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: (1) Presence of minimum two classical symptoms of diabetic sensory polyneuropathy (2) Impairment of two or more sensations viz. vibration, cold and hot.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: patients having any other associated clinical conditions influencing peripheral nerve function i.e peripheral vascular disorders.
