Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 120 patients of ASA physical status I and II of both genders aged between 19 -60 yrs undergoing LC were included in the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Diabetes mellitus, significant cardiac, hepatic or renal disease 2. GIT disease 3. Laparoscopy replaced by laparotomy 4. Previous history of PONV/ motion sickness 5. Patients with body mass index (BMI) >30 kg/m2 6. Currently receiving steroids or antiemetics 7. Allergy to study drugs. 8. Pregnancy or menstruation 9. Patients who cannot be contacted by telephone. 10. Abnormal blood glucose on morning of surgery
