Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Subjects who have fulfilled the following criteria were enrolled at Visit 3: 1. Either sex between 60 and 75 years with SBP/DBP Ã?Æ? 140/90 mmHg. 2. Either sex between 60 and 75 years taking antihypertensive drugs. 3. No significant clinically significant abnormal laboratory values (except lipid profile) during screening.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Any of the following was regarded as a criterion for exclusion from the study: 1. Subjects with secondary hypertension 2. Subjects on any regular medical treatment other than antihypertensive drugs. 3.Subjects with CV risk factors such as diabetes mellitus. 4.12-lead ECG with any significant abnormalities 5.Subjects with neuromuscular disorders. 6.History of alcoholism (alcohol abuse) and cannot refrain from alcohol consumption during the study period. 7.History of Smoking and cannot refrain from smoking during the study period.
