Health Condition 1: null- In-patients admitted with the DSM 5 diagnosis of Schizophrenia Health Condition 2: F200- Paranoid schizophrenia

Interventions

Intervention1: Intervention Group: Treatment as Usual(Antipsychotics+Psychotherapy) + Adjunctive Music Listening - 20 sessions of music listening
30 mins per session. Control Intervention1: Instrumental Music Listening: Adjunctive Music Listening for one group
Both groups receive standard care. Control Intervention2: Control Group: Treatment as Usual (Antipsychotics+Psychotherapy)

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Schizophrenia (DSM 5 diagnosis)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Substance dependence, Co-morbid mental disorders, Intellectual disability, Hearing loss, Cognitive impairment, Patients requiring Electroconvulsive therapy (before or after inclusion) Not giving consent
