Conditions

Health Condition 1: null- American Society of Anaesthesiologists (ASA) Classification 1 and 2 patients who need shoulder arthroscopy surgeries under combined general anaesthesia(GA) and interscalene regional blockade (ISB)

Interventions

Intervention1: Isoflurane: Isoflurane is a volatile inhalational agent routinely used in clinical practice for maintenance of anesthesia at 1 to 1.5 MAC. Control Intervention1: Sevoflurane: Sevoflura

Inclusion criteria: ASA Physical Status 1,2

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients who will have cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological, renal, endocrine, eye or autonomic dysfunction.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Systolic blood pressure, Diastolic blood pressure, Mean blood pressure. units are in mm of Hg.The heart rates, units in beats per minute.Timepoint: The hemodynamic data are recorded every third minute from the insertion of arthroscope till its removal.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Episodes of hypotension or hypertension and number of interventions to treat the same.Timepoint: Any event of hypotension with mean blood pressures less than 65mm of Hg or heart rates less than 45 beats per minute are treated accordingly. Similarly, any increased blood pressure than target blood pressure are managed with either increasing MAC depth of anaesthesia or through a pharmacological intervention(beta blocker)
