Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients diagnosed to have chronic periodontitis with probing depths of >= 5mm on two bilateral or contra lateral sites. Systemically healthy

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients having systemic diseases Patients who have received any topical or systemic antimicrobial treatment in the past 6 months including the use of mouthwash. Patients who have had periodontal treatment in the last 6 months. Pregnant and lactating mothers. Smokers.
