Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients with Acute Liver Failure with age >12yrs. 2. Patientâ??s next-of-kin consenting to the study protocol.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with ocular trauma. 2. Patients in whom transcranial window is not available for doppler. 3. Patients with previous CVA, cerebral aneurism, intracranial pathology and neurosurgery.

MeasureTime frame
Optic nerve sheath diameter and Pulsatility Index in Acute Liver Failure Timepoint: At Admission then 6 hrly for first 24 hr.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Incidence of raised ICT in acute liver failure patients predictive ability of ONSD for outcome in ALF patientsTimepoint: follow-up for 1 year.
