Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: all patient posted for elective general surgeries requiring general anaesthesia pts with ASAphysical statues 1-3

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: -Patient refusal -Pregnant patient -Laryngeal pathology ( Ca larynx, vocal cord tumours ) -Acquired airway infections (retropharyngeal abscess, ludwigs angina)

Incidence of Difficult Intubation Timepoint: Number of difficult tracheal intubations as a percentage (%) among all the cases of tracheal intubations done in the study population using the criteria for difficult intubation. Tracheal intubation was classified as difficult if one or more of the criteria was present. 1) Cormack Lehane classificaton 3-4 2) Use of intubating aids like bougie, Frova, Mccoy Laryngoscope, alternative technique of intubation 3) Laryngoscopy attempts more than 2 4) Laryngoscopy time more than 5 minutes

Evaluate key predictors out of ten for Difficult intubation and its validityTimepoint: Predictive accuracy asessed by calculating sensitivity, specificty, and positive predictive value of each predictor. Independent key predictors for difficult intubation were derived using logistic regression analysis
