Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 45 ASA grade I - III patients of age group 18-60 years, with a BMI of >=35kg/m2requiring elective intubation for bariatric or other surgical procedures were enrolled into the study
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. ASA IV,V patients 2. Patients undergoing emergency surgery 3. Patients with respiratory/ oral and pharyngeal pathology. 4. Patients with predicted difficult intubation: a. Craniofacial abnormalities/cervical spine disease/ restricted mouth opening b. Restricted mouth opening (Temperomandibular joint ankylosis, submucous fibrosis) 5. Patient refusal for participation in the study
