Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients aged 18 to 70 years, undergoing elective thoracotomy for lung surgeries like wedge resection, lobectomy, pneumonectomy or resection of intrathoracic tumors will be included in the study.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria 1. Congestive heart failure. 2. NYHA IV 3. Allergy to amide local anesthetics or dexmedetomidine 4. Any contraindication to paravertebral block or patient refusal for paravertebral block.
