Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: ASA class 1 & 2 patients undergoing elective gynecological laparoscopic surgery (duration 30min to 2 hours).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: i. Any pathology of the neck, upper respiratory tract or upper alimentary tract. ii. Predicted difficult airway. iii. A body mass index >35 kg/m2. iv. Patients with history of obstructive sleep apnoea. v. History of lung diseases. vi. Potentially full stomach patients or history of oesophageal reflux.
