Conditions

Health Condition 1: I10- Essential (primary) hypertension Health Condition 2: null- hypertension hypertension defined as systolic blood pressure of 140 mm Hg and above.

Interventions

Intervention1: seabuckthorn seed oil: 0.75ml/day given orally for 12 weeks Control Intervention1: sunflower seed oil: 0.75ml/day given orally for 12 weeks

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: hypertensive not taking or willing to take any prescribed drug for hypertensive.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: history of coronary heart disease or stroke abnormal KFT LFT users of lipid lowering drugs or other anti hypentensive agents.
