Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Subjects who met the ICD 10 criteria for harmful use of substance shall be included in the study and with other criteria. We are not using DSM as it not mention about harmful use of substances. Male workers working as Class C level in PGIMER, Chandigarh. Subjects between age 20 to 60 years. Subjects having moderate risk and high risk ASSIST scores on any substance (â??ASSIST screen positiveâ??). Willing to participate in the study and provide informed consent
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Subjects with severe communication difficulties (language problems, deafness). Subjects with intoxication or severe withdrawal at time of assessment (but they will be approached later again if they are willing). Subjects already undergoing treatment for substance use disorders. Co-morbid severe physical or mental illness which interferes with assessment. Uncooperative or unwilling to participate in the study
