Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Subjects having multiple teeth indicated for extraction (at least 3 non-adjacent teeth ) 2) Patients who were overall healthy or who had controlled systemic disease (ASA I or II) 3) The alveolar socket which were free of any pre-existing periapical pathology based on intraoral periapical radiographic analysis were selected 4) Alveolar sockets with intact four wall architecture and depth >=5mm were selected based on their clinical assessment using UNC-15 periodontal probe.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Patients who were pregnant or lactating; 2) Patients who had received any surgical or non-surgical therapy or antibiotic therapy in the last 6 months. 3) Subjects having habits such as smoking, tobacco chewing or alcohol 4) Patient who had received radiation therapy in past.
