Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To compare the efficacy of I.V. bolus mephentermine, ephedrine and phenylephrine for maintenance of blood pressure following spinal anaesthesia for elective as well as emergency caesarean section. Timepoint: Immediately after subarachnoid block and during LSCS whenever episode of hypotension.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To compare the effects and safety of mephentermine, ephedrine and phenylephrine, administered intravenously, on maintenance of blood pressure before delivery of baby and fetal outcome in pregnant women. Timepoint: Immediately after subarachnoid block and during LSCS whenever episode of hypotension.
