Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Patients above 18years. 2.Definite retinal thickening due to diabetic macular edema based on OCT. 3.Presence of vitreomacular traction on OCT associated with macular edema. 4.Diffuse macular edema with taut premacular posterior hyaloids on OCT who unlikely to respond to focal or grid laser. 5.Edema judged to be inadequately responsive to previous treatment(s) and unlikely to benefit from further focal photocoagulation. 6.Stable proliferative diabetic retinopathy

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Other causes of macular edema such as uveitis or retinal vascular occlusion, epiretinal membrane. 2. Fibrovascular proliferation resulting in macular detachment. 3. Significant media opacity such as cataract or vitreous hemorrhage 4. History of glaucoma or intraocular pressure (IOP) >21 mmHg; 5. History of any previous ocular surgery.
