Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Adults aged 18 years or more with Open tibial shaft fractures( grade 2 and grade 3a ) amenable for intramedullary nailing and with intact distal neurovascular status in affected limb

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: closed tibial shaft fractures and open tibial shaft fractures not suitable for intramedullary nailing and if patient is pregnant, breast-feeding or planning to become pregnant during the study. • If patient has a known allergy to aminoglycosides.
