Intervention1: Trisodium Citrate: Trisodium Citrate will be used as catheter locking solution in patients in the intervention group. Control Intervention1: Hep-Lock: Heparinised solution will be used

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Adults 18-75 years of age. 2.Patient who are candidates of catheter placement in dialysis department 3.Patient who are willing to participate in the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Patient below 18 years and above 75 years of age 2.Patient with other underlying disorders(liver disorders,bleeding disorder) 3.Pediatric patients 4.Patients who are not willing to participate in the study. 5. Patients with platelet level below 1,00,000. 6.Patients who have currently enrolled in any other experimental drug protocol study. 7. PermCath patients.

Number of hours of catheter use (catheter patency).Timepoint: Three months.

1. Pyrogenic Reaction 2. Catheter-related bacteraemia 3. Exit site infection 4. Thrombosis 5. Staff Knowledge 6. Cost effectiveness of Intervention drug.Timepoint: Three months.
