Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: -All children between the age of 0 and 15 years, sustaining superficial second degree burns. -Involving less than twenty percent of their body surface area. -The child should have presented within twenty four hours of the burn. -Includes those treated on an outpatient or inpatient basis.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: -Burns other than superficial partial thickness. -Body surface area involved more than twenty percent. -Presence of wound infection/systemic sepsis. -Presentation more than twenty four hours after the burn.
