Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients with clinical features of bacterial meningitis in the form of acute onset of fever ( And Laboratory criteria (Any one of the following) o Positive CSF or Latex Agglutination Test (LAT) for H.influenzae, S.pneumoniae, and N.meningitidis o >10 WBC/ml of CSF, with blood culture positive for any bacteria o >100 WBC/ml with >50% polymorphonuclear cells and CSF glucose o >1000 WBC/ml of CSF with >75% polymorphonuclear cells
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients with features of raised ICP Previously received antibiotics > 24 hours , Developmental delay, Severe malnutrition Previously documented immunodeficiency Infected lumbar puncture site
