Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Newly diagnosed adult celiac disease patients aged >=18yrs attending the outpatient departments of Endocrinology and Gastroenterology were recruited and followed prospectively for one year

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: pregnant or expected pregnant patients, patients less than 18 years of the age, patients on other drugs that can interfere on BMD or patients with other bone diseases
