Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: • Age 2-8 years • Either gender • ASA I and II • Children scheduled for undergoing cataract surgeries under general anaesthesia with CLMA
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: • Airway anomalies. • Anticipated difficult airway • Bronchial asthma • Known cardiac arrhythmia or congenital heart disease. • Mentally disabled, known case of autism, or developmental pervasive disorder. • Psychotropic medication use • Active upper respiratory tract infection • Patients receiving concurrent treatment with medication known to affect anesthetic requirements. • Weight of the patient exceeded 150% of the ideal weight. • The children who will need premedication after randomization will also be excluded.
