Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: American Society of Anesthesiologists physical status I or II, scheduled to undergo lower abdominal surgery of less than two hour duration under general anesthesia will be prospectively enrolled in this study

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Children with developmental delay, neurologic disease, treatment with sedatives, full stomach, or indication for rapid sequence induction
