Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Surgically Inoperable upper/ middle/ lower thoracic oesophageal carcinoma 2. Histopathologically proven squamous cell / adenocarcinoma of esophagus 3. KPS >70

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Prior history of irradiation to the chest. 2. KPS 3. Prior history of cardiovascular disease that might interfere with the present study, like ischemic heart disease / rheumatic heart disease / cardiomyopathy etc. 4. Uncontrolled co-morbidities like diabetes and hypertension 5. Those not suitable for chemoradiation

1. To evaluate the acute changes in cardiac function during concurrent chemoradiation in patients of locally advanced esophageal cancer using MUGA scan and Echocardiography.Timepoint: 6 weeks
