Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Neonates on tube feeding, spoon feeding, or breast feeding with gestational age 32-42 weeks, admitted in NICU, NIMC, Post-natal ward,subjected to Echocardiographycal examination were included

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: neonates who were nil by mouth, not included in gestational age 32-42 weeks, with poor neurological status,neonates paralyzed or sedated with pharmacological agents

Pain assessment in both groups during echocardiography was done by PIPP score by means of video and identified as primary outcomeTimepoint: Pain assessment in both groups during echocardiography

Ease percieved by echocardiographer during procedue , and the adverse effects of oral sucrose were noted as secondary outcomeTimepoint: During Echocardiography and at the end of procedure
