Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients of either sex, aged 18 years and above. 2. Patients who have symptoms related to constipation (criteria for functional constipation and IBS-C fulfilled for the last 3 months with symptom onset at least 6 months prior to inclusion into the study) 3. Patients willing to sign the patient authorization form.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Pregnant or lactating women. 2. Patients with intestinal obstruction (known or suspected). 3. Patients with any disease with the potential to precipitate intestinal obstruction. 4. Patients with acute abdomen (sudden, severe abdominal pain of unclear etiology).
