Intervention1: Vidang Churna ( Embelia Ribes, Burm f ): 2 gm tds Orally for 60 Days Control Intervention1: Thyronorm: 50 or 100 mcg od for 60 days

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: elevated level of serum TSH more than 4.31 micro IU per ml low serum T3 less than 0.79 ng per ml low serum T4 less than 4.9 microgram per dl

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: age below 16 adn above 60 years patients suffering from goiter drug induced hypothyroidism systemic illness like tuberculosis CNS disorder like Goiter other endocrine disorder HIV cardiac disorder major disorders like goiter other endocrine disorder HIV cardiac disorder malignancies and renal fiilure
