Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: isolated traumatic brain injury patients admitted to the trauma intensive care unit with Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS) < 9 on admission and the cerebral computed tomographic (CT) scan findings of brain injury.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria will include multiple trauma, coagulopathy or organ failure.
