Intervention1: ATORVASTATIN 40 mg tablet oral route once daily for 6 months: ATORVASTATIN 40 mg tablets will be given to one group of active Rheumatoid arthritis patients who are already on any DMARD

Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: diagnosed cases of Rheumatoid Arthritis with active disease and under any DMARD therapy
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients with history of - 1. Diabetes 2. Renal Disease (due to cause other than RA) 3. intra-articular Cortisone injection within preceding 4 weeks of initial visit 4. active or recent infection 5. alcohol abuse, smoking 6. chronic disease other than RA affecting the Joints 7. Liver disease 8. Pregnancy 9. Breast feeding 10. Allergy to Atorvastatin 11. inclusion in other studies with investigational products
