Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: older than 18 years American Society of Anaesthesiologists (ASA) physical status I or II weighing more than 50 kg and less than 90 kg uncomplicated singleton pregnancy beyond 36 weeks, scheduled to have elective caesarean section under spinal anaesthesia
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients not willing to undergo spinal anaesthesia 2. Known hypertensive patients or those with a resting arterial blood pressure >= than 160/90 mm Hg. 3. Known coronary artery disease, cardiac valvular regurgitation and or stenosis. 4. Neuromuscular disorders 5. Patients with history of coagulation disorder 6. Foetal malpresentation 7. Pregnancy -induced hypertension (PIH) 8. History of systemic illness (renal disease, diabetes mellitus etc) 9. Patients on chronic medication
