Health Condition 1: null- Patients of Psychosis, ICD 10, f20-f29 criteria- Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective disorder, persistant delusional disorder, acute and transient psychosis.

Intervention1: Iloperidone: 4mg BD orally for 12 months duration
Control Intervention1: atypical antipsychotic agents- olanzapine: olanzapine 10mgOD,Orally for 12 months duration

Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: patients of age group 18-65 yrs, of both genders, newly diagnosed cases of psychosis falling under icd 10- f20-f29 criteria
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: patients already on antipsychotics, obese patients, patients of diabetes mellitus, patients of CVS disorder and dyslipidemia, renal and hepatic failure, pregnancy and lactation, patients on antiepileptics,ocp, antiparkansonian drugs, steroids, beta blockers or agents which cause weight gain.
