| Segmental Epidural anaesthesia is a safe alternative to General anaesthesia for PCNL. Haemodynamics were stable, positioning was easy, PONV was less, and post operative pain relief was better in the SEA group as compared to GA group. However this technique has to be used judiciously in patients with co morbidities and with a large stone load. Hypotension due to sympathetic blockade is always a possibility and patient cooperation due to long surgical time has to be tackled.Timepoint: All vital parameters Heart Rate, Blood pressure, saturation, end tidal carbon di oxide were monitored. Level of sensory block was monitered every 5 min for first 30 min then every 10 min till end of surgery. All the patients in both the groups were monitored post operatively for pain, Nausea and vomiting. | — |
