Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients with clinical features suggestive of raised intracranial pressure, posted for emergency out elective surgery.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Orbital pathologies including inflammation, tumours etc Orbital injuries Diseased affecting the optic nerves Inability to cannulae lateral ventricles Trauma and bleeding during ventricular cannulation

Correlate the optic nerve sheath diameter measured by ultra sonography and magnetic resonance imaging with invasive intra cranial pressureTimepoint: 1.MRI done preoperatively. 2. Optic nerve sheath USG will be done at two times: a)baseline before induction of anaesthesia and b) after induction of anaesthesia. 3. Intraventricular intracranial pressure measurement intraoperative lay - opening pressure while entering ventricle with intraventricular catheter.
