Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Healthy individuals going for cataract 40- 80 years. 2. Pre-existing corneal regular astigmatism of 0.5 D to 2.0D. 3. Capability to give informed consent and willingness to follow up. 4. Informed consent obtained for both phacoemulsification surgery and astigmatic keratotomy. 5. Study subject is agreeable to comply with the postoperative follow-up regime stated. 6. Absence of any exclusion criteria.
