Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: • Subjects residing in Belgaum between 35 to 55 years of age. • Moderate Periodontitis with Probing depth of 4-6mm and Clinical attachment level of 2-4 mm. • Willing to provide informed consent and to ensure compliance throughout the study • Not used medicated toothpaste/antibacterial mouthwashes/antibiotics or any anti-inflammatory drug for the last 3 months. • No history of drug allergy to chlorhexidine

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: • Subjects suffering from systemic diseases. • Subjects undergoing orthodontic treatment. • Subjects with periapical infection • Habit of tobacco chewing and smoking • Pregnancy and lactation
