Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients belonging to any age group presenting with cataract in single eye/both eyes for the first time will be included in the study group. Patient should be on topical steroid and antibiotics post operatively.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients who have undergone cataract extraction with or without intraocular lens implantation previously in the other eye. Patient on any other ocular topical medications. Coexisting other medical conditions with conjunctival changes or ocular conditions

Effect of topical steroids with preservative benzalkonium chloride on the conjunctiva on the conjunctiva after 4-6 weeks of surgery, compared to the pre surgery conjunctival cytology in the study period of 10 monthsTimepoint: Collected data will be analyzed by paired and unpaired t- test and Chi square test.—
