Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients undergoing elective thoracic surgeries involving one lung ventilation

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients in whom intubation seems to be difficult under direct vision. 2. Patients with tracheostomy tube in situ. 3. Patients with diagnosed pneumothorax or pleural effusion. 4. Patients with pleurodesis done in past. 5. Patients with PFT values (any one out of FEV1, MVV, TLC, FVC) 6. Patients below age of 18 years.

MeasureTime frame
accuracy of dignosis of correct placement of DLTTimepoint: To be tested intraoperatively once thoracic cavity is direcly visualised by surgeon.
