Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Healthy patients 2.Posterior maxillary or mandibular teeth Prolonged pain to cold 3.Normal periapical radiographic appearance 4.Presence of an opposing tooth (or teeth) with normal occlusal contact with the opposing tooth( or teeth) 5.Willing to continue their treatment plan until placing a full coverage restoration 6.Mild tenderness to percussion

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Patients younger than 18 year old 2.Presence of any systemic disorders that prevented administration of lidocaine as the anesthetic agent 3.Teeth with an infected root canal system 4.Teeth associated with swelling 5.Teeth with no or moderate- to-severe tenderness to percussion 6.Presence of periapical radiolucency 7.Patients who are Pregnant or breastfeeding 8.Tooth not suitable for restoration 9.Patients with moderate to severe spontaneous pain who needed emergency treatment 10.Teeth without occlusal contact, teeth with unsupported or weak cusp
