Intervention1: Vitamin D and Calcium Supplement: Vitamin D - 1000 IU and Calcium 500 mg
1 tablet orally 6 days a week
Total duration of therapy - 180 days Intervention2: Zinc Supplement: Zinc Sulphate - 10 mg

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 6 - 12 year old apparently healthy children

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Children who have serious medical conditions Those who are severely anaemic (i.e. Hb < 7g/dl) Those who have received Calcium/Vitamin D/Zinc supplements previously

Decrease in frequency and/or duration and/or severity of episodes of common infections like respiratory tract infections, gastrointestinal tract infections, skin infectionsTimepoint: Data collected by a questionnaire every fortnight
