Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients belonging to ASA physical status I and II and those between the age groups 18 to 70, undergoing elective inguinal hernia repair under general anaesthesia were included in the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with a known allergy to local anasethetics and those who refused to give consent were excluded from the study.
