Conditions

Health Condition 1: null- elective surgery for carcinoma pancrease, carcinoma common bile duct, carcinoma breast, gallbladder stone under general anesthesia, who will be catheterized after induction

Intervention1: Duloxetine 60mg tablet: Duloxetine 60mg will be given orally 2 hrs before the induction of anesthesia with sips of water Control Intervention1: Placebo tablet, Aciloc (Ranitidine)75mg:

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Adult patients (18 â?? 60 yr) with an ASA I and II 2.Of either sex, 3.All patients undergoing elective surgery under general anesthesia, who will be catheterized after induction,

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Patients with a history of bladder out�ow obstruction, 2.transurethral resection of prostate for benign prostate hyperplasia, 3.elderly patients (age .60 yr), 4.overactive bladder (frequency: more than three times in the night or more than eight times in 24 h) 5.End-stage renal disease (urine output ,500 ml per 24 h), 6.morbid obesity, 7.disturbance of central nervous system, 8.chemical substance abuse, 9.chronic pain, 10.Chronic analgesic usage. 11.cardiovascular, and hepatic or any psychiatric disease 12.Pregnancy and lactating mothers
